1858-O No Motto Ten, AU53
Better New Orleans Issue
1858-O $10 AU53 NGC. Winter-1. This piece is deep green-gold
with lavender and orange highlights. Luster is slightly diminished
from wear, with the remainder complementing a splendid cartwheel
effect. The New Orleans Mint struck 20,000 eagles in 1858, and
while AU-level examples are common, Mint State eagles are extremely
rare, as NGC reports just 10 pieces (10/25). This is an attractive
AU53 with grade-consistent marks, only one of which is noticeable
on the reverse under OF, the rest blending in from light
