1909-S 1C VDB MS66 Red NGC....
Description
1909-S VDB Cent, MS66 Red
Few Known Finer
1909-S 1C VDB MS66 Red NGC. This is a sharply struck and
luminous Premium Gem example of the key San Francisco issue in the
Lincoln cent series, boasting copper-orange and golden-amber hues
across pristine fields and sharply struck design elements. A few
russet-amber freckles on each side attest to the originality of the
coin while leaving eye appeal intact. The 1909-S is occasionally seen in this lofty grade due to widespread numismatic interest at the time of its issue, although the rarity of higher-grade pieces will put many eyes on this coin as an ideal Registry Set opportunity.(Registry values: N2998)
