Description

1920-S Buffalo Nickel, MS65
Only One Finer Coin at PCGS

1920-S 5C MS65 PCGS. From a mintage of nearly 9.7 million pieces, the 1920-S Buffalo nickel is an elusive issue in high grade. Lower circulated grades were widely hoarded in the 1940s, when they could be culled from circulation by watchful collectors. This attractive Gem exhibits unusually sharp definition on all design elements, with vibrant satiny mint luster and a few highlights of greenish-gold toning. PCGS reports only one numerically finer example (2/26).
