The Usual Overdate Variety

1808/7 $5 Close Date, BD-2, High R.4, AU55 NGC. Dannreuther Die State a/c. This is the usual die state for the variety with no obverse die cracks. Light wear is evident on both sides of this Choice AU example that displays trivial hairlines on its rich honey-gold surfaces. Peripheral rose toning adds to the eye appeal of this example.
