1873-S Closed 3 Double Eagle, MS61
Lustrous and Appealing Surfaces
1873-S $20 Closed 3 MS61 NGC. For the San Francisco issue of
this year, the Closed 3 coin is more available in Mint State than
its Open 3 counterpart, making the current piece an excellent
choice for type collectors. Frosty original luster yields
wheat-gold and subtle rose hues, while the design elements exhibit
pleasing definition. Scattered small abrasions define the grade as
