Important Elizabeth Gold Ducat Type

Elizabeth gold Ducat 1748 MS61 PCGS, Moscow mint, KM-C30.1, Bitkin-6 (R1), Fr-113. This is the most attainable date of the first Ducat type coinage produced under Elizabeth, the daughter of Peter the Great. Due to the relative availability of the date within its subseries, it is the clear choice for those intrepid collectors searching for an example of the type. Not since 2020 has a representative surfaced for auction with our firm, that piece was also dated 1748, though a few grade rungs lower on the technical scale as an NGC AU50. The rims on the obverse are ill-defined in spots and the reverse contains a rim abnormality but the actual designs on each face are quite well-rendered. Not only is the design detail of the Empress and the double-headed eagle fully expressed, there are no signs of high-point rub heavy enough to indicate any time spent in circulation, along with a twinkle of mint brilliance. This is the finest PCGS certified specimen for the date, trailing only two NGC certified examples by technical assignment. A magnificent selection of the utmost desirability in the present Mint State designation.

莫斯科造幣廠。伊莉莎白為彼得大帝的女兒，這枚杜卡特則出自早的年份。由於此年份的例子算是稍為常見，故不少雄心勃勃的收藏家都有意入手一枚。在2020年，敝公司曾經手一枚1748年例子，惟品相略帶瑕疵，評NGC AU50。此幣正面的邊緣帶有斑點，背面邊緣不太圓滑，但正背面的圖案都頗為精雕細琢。不光是女皇和雙頭鷹的圖案深刻分明，突出處亦不見一絲磨損，伴以閃閃原光，可見流通時間極為短暫。此為PCGS記錄中的最佳例子，而NGC的同年份例子中僅有兩枚更勝一籌。這枚原廠狀態例子出類拔萃，評名優秀上乘。
