Alexander III gold Specimen "St. Petersburg Society of Devotees of Trotting Racing" Medal 1883 UNC Details (Edge Damage) PCGS, Diakov-946.1 (R5), Smirnov-892. By V. Nikonov (signature on obverse) and M. Gabe. 65mm. 123.15gm. A fabulous Russian gold Medal of equine interest, honoring Illarion Ivanovich Vorontsov-Dashkov and the St. Petersburg Society of Devotees of Trotting Racing, which he presided over. Delightfully Prooflike, hampered only by a few scattered marks and a rim/edge bruise between 5 and 6 o'clock when conferring the obverse face.
