British Colony. Victoria Cent 1878 AU58 PCGS, Calcutta mint, KM9, Prid-171. A "Key Date" of this humble copper denomination struck in India for Britain's Straits Settlement colony. Heavily targeted by collectors in choice circulated assignments such as this, as Mint State examples are very rare; none have certified that high at PCGS and only a single MS61 exists at NGC.Ex.
