Final-Year Carson City Issue
1893-CC $20 AU58 NGC. Winter 2-A. Originally struck with
fully prooflike fields, this colorful 1893-CC twenty quickly
acquired an assortment of tiny marks and fleeting abrasions that
pepper each side. Borderline Mint State sharpness retains virtually
full mint luster throughout the sharply struck orange-gold surfaces
offering outstanding eye appeal. Most of the 18,402-piece mintage
was shipped abroad for use in bank-to-bank foreign transactions,
which may account for the light surface marks.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26C9, PCGS# 9023, Greysheet# 9953)
