High-Grade Type Coin
1875-S 50C Small Wide S, WB-104, Die Pair 2, R.4, MS66 PCGS.
Die Pair 2 is the sole appearance among 1875-S half dollars of the
Small Wide S mintmark. The obverse is distinguished by prominent
die lines above the T in LIBERTY. A lustrous Premium Gem with light
to medium straw-gold toning. Well preserved save for field grazes
near the left (facing) wingtip. PCGS Population: 30 in 66 (3 in
66+), 2 finer (12/25).Coin Index Numbers: (Variety PCGS# 572232, Base PCGS# 6351)
