1856 1C --Cleaned--ANACS. XF40 Details. Snow-3. Probably 20% or so of the 1856 Flying Eagle cents are from this die pairing. It is currently estimated that somewhere between 500 and 700 pieces are extant today. Most of this variety were produced as business strikes and advanced collectors often seek out this variety for that reason. The surfaces are noticeably bright and slightly glossy however, ample detail remains.
