1875 20C Twenty Cents, Judd-1404, Pollock-1547, High R.6, PR65 Brown PCGS. CAC. Ex: Simpson. The obverse depicts a representation of Liberty seated by the seashore with thirteen stars around the border and the date 1875 below. A rigged steamship is seen in the background. On the reverse, the denomination 20 CENTS is encircled by an olive wreath. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is at the border. Struck in copper with a plain edge. This popular design was also struck in silver, aluminum, and white metal. The brightly reflective fields flash strongly through the horizontal streaks of russet seen on each side.
