Description

1951 50C MS66+ Full Bell Lines PCGS. CAC. This is an intensely lustrous, Registry-grade example of this conditionally elusive Franklin half dollar. The interiors display ice-blue and pale champagne hues, while the peripheries exhibit tinges of deeper amber-gold color. Boldly struck and beautifully preserved; much of the faint "chatter" on Franklin's cheek and the Liberty Bell is mint-made, caused by pieces of metal debris in the recesses of the die. PCGS shows only three finer examples (5/15).(Registry values: N991)
