Description

1832 Capped Bust Half Dime, AU55
Rare V-14, LM-9.2 Variety

1832 H10C V-14, LM-9.2, R.7, AU55 NGC. By far the rarest die variety of the 1832 half dime. This piece represents the later die state for the issue, showing the upper loop of the final S in STATES filled. The usual strike softness is seen on the BUS in PLURIBUS, but the central devices are well defined, and wear is light. Natural sun-gold, amber, and blue-green toning in the margins surrounds champagne interiors, with no obtrusive abrasions.
