1840 Ten Dollar, Near-Mint
1840 $10 AU58 NGC. Like most lower mintage No Motto issues, the 1840 is seldom encountered at the near-Mint level. The median third-party grade is XF45 to AU50. The present sharply struck example shows a trace of wear on the hair above the ear. Luster is plentiful across the motifs and the reverse border. Abrasions are relatively minor.
