Description

1861-S 25C Fine 15 PCGS. Briggs 1-A. Like all S-mint quarter issues from the 1860s, the 1861-S has a low mintage. Just 96,000 pieces were produced. This stone-gray and charcoal representative is unmarked aside from a pair of hair-thin lines on the lower right drapery. All letters in LIBERTY are crisp, and the eagle's wings show partial plumage.
