First Type Three Issue
1877 $20 MS62 PCGS. CAC. With the denomination spelled out
in its entirety, the 1877 and 1877-S double eagles represent the
first year of the Type Three design. This piece is extremely
bright, with brilliant lemon-yellow luster and minimal handling
marks. Conditionally rare, PCGS has only certified 19 finer pieces
