Description

1950 Half Dollar, PR67 Cameo
First Franklin Proof Issue

1950 50C PR67 Cameo PCGS. CAC. In 1950, the Philadelphia Mint struggled to recapture the art of proof coinage, after an eight year hiatus, and few pieces from that first year displayed any sort of contrast. This attractive Superb Gem is one of the exceptions. A hint of gold over each side only accents the eye appeal and contrast, which is perhaps even stronger on the reverse. Sharply detailed and impeccably preserved throughout. Population: 67 in 66 (5 in 66+) Cameo, 22 finer. CAC: 35 in 66, 15 finer (6/17).(Registry values: N4719)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27VA, PCGS# 86691, Greysheet# 6861)

Weight: 12.50 grams

Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
