Philadelphia mint. A classic 20th century gold proof set, of immense importance in the field of Cuban numismatics, and offered here as pleasing and original as can be found, with the addition of a legendary pedigree as well. Truly, this assemblage leaves little to be desired, with each coin boldly showcasing the frosted bust of Jose Marti on the obverse, while the arms of Cuba fill the reverse centers. Mostly set in vibrant lemon-gold, the 5 pesos is the one exception with a touch of orange-gold color in the centers, but on the whole, the set absolutely qualifies as well-matched. Minimal handling, as the grades on each coin suggest, is visible, with the crowned-jewel of the set, the 20 pesos, bestowing all the qualities inherent in a Gem. An already famous set, this latest chapter in its history is sure to attract significant buzz, with the news of its offering being certain to resonate through the numismatic community.
