$10 Million-plus in "Fresh Consignments" in Heritage's Central States Signature Auction of U.S. Coins
Dallas, Texas: Numismatic rarities from ten anchor consignments - four of them impressive Registry collections - highlight nearly 5500 gold and silver American coin lots being auctioned by Heritage Auction Galleries at their official Signature Auction at the Central States Numismatic Society convention, April 26-29 in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to the coin Signature event, Heritage will also be offering a Currency Signature Auction containing more than 3200 paper money lots. This is Heritage's fourteenth official auction at the Spring Convention of the Central States Numismatic Society.
"We are especially pleased to extend our leadership position in auctioning registry sets," noted Heritage President Greg Rohan, "with the Alex & Nan Registry Sets, the JS Hamilton Registry Set of Proof Kennedy Half Dollars, the Kendall Marie #4 All-Time Finest PCGS Registry Set of Lincoln Cents, and the Craig A. Stevens Registry Collection of Large Cents. Additionally, we are offering additional selections from two previous consignors, the Alexander Collection and the Bellaire Collection; we are always gratified when consignors are so pleased with their results that they return to sell more.
Plus, Central States features the Steve Glenn Collection, the David L. Goodwin Collection, and the Manna Collection. While many coins have impressive pedigrees, most have been off of the market for many years, and this is a market that rewards freshness."
"The unquestioned highlight of the auction," continued Rohan, "is the magnificent Floyd Starr 1792 Half Disme (Judd-7, Pollock-7) certified Specimen 67 by PCGS. This is probably the finest known early half disme, and is the only half disme certified as a Specimen striking. The 1792 half disme is the first circulating American coin struck under authority of the Mint Act of April 1792, and ownership of any example is the sign of a connoisseur of American coinage. The opportunity to personally inspect this amazing piece of numismatic history is reason enough to come to Columbus!"

Our staff numismatists," noted Heritage Co-Chairman Steve Ivy, "were especially impressed with the quality of the Indian Eagle Selections from the Collection of Dr. Steven L. Duckor.
