"Heritage is proud to present the incomparable Troy Wiseman Collection in our Long Beach Signature Auctions," noted Heritage President Greg Rohan. "Not only is this one of the finest and most diversified collections that we have ever handled, it has also been my personal pleasure to become friends with one of the most fascinating men I have ever met. The story of this exceptional collector, businessman, and philanthropist is about connections that extend far beyond coins. This is a story of one young man, who having fulfilled the American success story of 'rags to riches' is now dedicated to performing good deeds around the globe. He is confronting the global problem or orphans through the worldwide ministry of WorldOrphans.org."
"First, a few words about his extraordinary coin collection," continued Rohan. "The Wiseman Collection is among the most complete and diverse that Heritage has ever handled. Its depth, diversity, and incomparable quality are easily demonstrated through 17 separate PCGS Registry listings on their "All Time Finest" lists. Two more of his sets are in the 'top 10' Current lists. The Troy Wiseman Collection is in the top of every "Red Book" category, from Colonials to Gold Commemoratives."

Mr. Wiseman also boasts one of the finest token collections ever assembled, including superlative Hard Times, Merchant, Trade, and Sutler & Civil War tokens. His 172 Hard Times Tokens collection is believed to be the Finest Set of All Time, and while not yet a Registry set, as graded is larger and more diverse than the legendary Ford Collection. Mr. Wiseman would like to thank world-renowned token expert George Fuld for his cataloging contributions.
The Wiseman Collection also includes approximately 60 of the top 100 U.S. currency notes, a fabulous collection inspired by the 100 Greatest Currency Notes reference book by his friend Q. David Bowers and David Sundman. His collection includes every category, including errors, patterns, world coins, medals, and exonumia.
Mr. Wiseman's outstanding Hobo Nickel Collection (including both the classic and modern hobo nickels) is considered one of the finest set of all time, and will be offered in our January 2007 FUN Auction, along with his amazing collection of U.S. Colonial coinage.
Mr. Wiseman was born into a relatively poor family. He left his North Florida home of Ocala at seventeen years of age with his Bible and $300 dollars in his pocket. He arrived in Southern California after a few months in Texas (where he ran out of money and had to find a job) weeks later with nothing more than a few dollars, a strong work ethic instilled by his father and a former wrestling coach, and his faith. Through his hard work, bolstered by his faith, his sense of adventure and capitalism, his business success blossomed. He co-founded Cami'z, Inc., a wholesale and retail apparel company that grew to become B.U.M. International, a $120 million clothing company with factories in 19 countries. Selling out of B.U.M at age 26 and feeling restless after a few months, he soon founded a new company, The InvestLinc Group..
InvestLinc was built to serve the needs of former entrepreneurs and business executives alike. The InvestLinc platform was a multifaceted financial holding company that leveraged the intellectual, financial and relationship capital of those former entrepreneurs and business people, forming a nationwide community of like-minded people. The InvestLinc Group today is comprised of five separate operating companies, from private equity funds to wealth integration services, focused on serving both the personal and financial needs of over 4,000 high-net worth families.
Troy Wiseman is dedicating proceeds from the sale of his collections to World Orphans, a ministry he co-founded with his wife, Tina, in 1993. World Orphans has funded the opening of more than 500 orphanages in 46 developing countries, providing more than 25,000 children with love, care, and hope for the future. In fiscal 2006, 200-plus new facilities will be funded by World Orphans. "If you would like to join Mr. Wiseman and Heritage in supporting the good works of WorldOrphans.org," concluded Rohan, "more information can be found on their website. We sincerely hope you will read about the wonderful deeds that have been accomplished through the dedication and generosity of Mr. Wiseman."
