The Troy Wiseman Collection to Anchor Heritage's Long Beach Signature Auction!

17,500+ Lots to be offered in Heritage's Long Beach Auctions

DALLAS, TEXAS: Heritage Auction Galleries' Long Beach U.S. Coins Signature Auction, taking place September 13-16, is now online and accepting bids at HA.com. The Signature Auction contains more than 5600 lots, and is accompanied by an OnLine Session containing an additional 3,600 lots and Tokens & Medals catalogs contains an additional 1,200 lots. Complete details on all coins (descriptions and images), plus lots from the Long Beach World Coins and Currency Signature Auctions, can also be found at the Heritage website: HA.com/Coins and HA.com/Currency. This is Heritage's 58th Official Auction at the Long Beach Coin Expo. and more than 850 consignors are participating.

"Heritage's September Long Beach Signature Auction contains several wonderful anchor consignments, but special attention must be drawn to the Troy Wiseman Collection. Part One of Mr. Wiseman's treasures anchor the U.S. Coin Signature Auction, plus a separate catalog has been produced for his U.S. Tokens (including his marvelous Hard Times Collection). Our Ancient and World Coins Signature Auction contains Part Two, and our currency Signature Auctions contains Part Three (approximately 60 of the top 100 U.S. currency notes). In FUN 2007, we will also be selling his incredible collections of Colonial coins and Hobo Nickels. The Wiseman Collection is among the most complete and diverse that Heritage has ever handled, but the story of this exceptional collector, businessman, and philanthropist is about much more than coins - it's about one man's good deeds confronting the global orphan problem through the worldwide ministry of WorldOrphans.org.

"The depth, diversity, and incomparable quality of Mr. Wiseman's U.S. holdings are easily demonstrated through 17 separate PCGS Registry listings on their "All Time Finest Set" lists, plus two more in the 'top 10' Current sets. Mr. Wiseman also boasts one of the finest token collections ever assembled, including Hard Times, Merchant, Trade, and Sutler & Civil War tokens. Mr. Wiseman was born into a relatively poor family, and left his North Florida home of Ocala at seventeen years of age. After a few months stop in Texas (to replenish his funds), he arrived in Southern California with only a few dollars left, but buoyed by his faith and a strong work ethic instilled by a former wrestling coach and his father. Through his hard work, his business success blossomed, and the apparel company he co-founded (Cami'z, Inc.) grew to become B.U.M. International, a $120 million clothing company with factories in 19 countries. Selling out of B.U.M at age 26 and feeling restless after a few months, he soon founded a new company, The InvestLinc Group, to serve the needs of former entrepreneurs and business executives alike. Mr. Wiseman confounded World Orphans in 1993, which since then has funded the construction of over 500 orphanages in 46 countries and has rescued over 25,000 children. We invite you to read more about WorldOrphans.org on their website."

Additional anchor consignors include: The Big Tex Registry Collection of Walking Liberty Halves; The Catfish Creek Collection; The Della Collection of Liberty Quarter Eagles (#1 PCGS Registry Collection With Varieties); The Manistee Collection; and The Tigard Oregon Small Cent Collection.
