Heritage to Auction 16,000 Lots at FUN Auctions Now Posted On-line at www.HeritageCoin.com

Heritage is offering a wide range of official FUN auctions at the annual convention of the Florida United Numismatists in Orlando. More than sixteen thousand lots will be sold between Jan. 7th and Jan. 10th. Heritage has been holding FUN auctions in Orlando since 1991.

Heritage’s official FUN auctions include:
  • 9,000 lots of American coins in the Platinum Night, Green Pond, North Shore, HNAI FUN Signature, and HNAI Bullet catalogs.
  • 2,000 lots of world and ancient coins, offered in our HWCA catalog.
  • 5,000+ lots of currency, offered in our Heritage-Currency Auctions of America catalog.

According to Heritage Co-Chairman Steve Ivy: “Heritage is especially proud to introduce a new concept this year: Platinum Night at FUN, being held the evening of January 7th. This special catalog and night will see some of the very finest coins that we are auctioning at FUN offered together in one session. Platinum Night includes several incredible anchor consignments, including the Green Pond and North Shore Collections, which each warrant their own catalog.”

“Our Platinum Night catalog,” continued Heritage President Greg Rohan, “is anchored by the superb Green Pond and North Shore Collections. Green Pond is one of the finest complete collections of Dahlonega gold rarities ever assembled, holding dual PCGS Registry leadership as the #1 Current and #1 All-Time Finest Dahlonega Collection, and containing pedigrees from some of the finest collections of the last century. The North Shore Collection contains complete sets (Charlotte Mint $5s; 14 coin set of early Eagles, 1795-1804 in Mint State; Double Eagles in high grade, missing only the 1856-O, 1927-D and 1933, but including all of the Proof-Only issues) and individual rarities like a 1796 No Stars Quarter Eagle, MS62 NGC; 1848 "CAL" $2.50 MS67; 1863 $2.50 Deep Cameo PR64, ex: Bass; 1875 $3 PR65 Cameo; 1879 $4 PR63 Cameo; 1834 $5 PR63 Cameo; 1798/7 7x6 stars $10 MS62; 1875 $10 PR64 Cameo; 1854-O $20 AU58; 1870-CC $20 AU53; 1907-D $20 PR62, ex: Farouk; and 1907 High Relief $20 PR67. Rarities from more than 70 consignors join the two anchors in this premier Platinum Night.”

“The anchor consignments in our FUN catalog,” continued Rohan, “demonstrate an impressive array of collecting interests, and hundreds of PCGS Registry coins. Part 3 of the Frank O. Fredericks Collection includes more of his important patterns and Seated Dollars. Part 2 of the Morris Geiger Collection offers additional selections from his U.S. coins, plus major offerings in our HWCA (his famous Latin America holdings) and Heritage-CAA catalogs. Patrick J. Mullen’s Registry Collection of Washington Quarters is PCGS’ #1 Registry All-Time Washington Quarter, Silver Set with Varieties (1932-1964, struck for circulation), and the #1 Current set. Part 2 of the New Millennium Collection continues with wonderful coins that have also been off the market since 1973, including more patterns, some two-dozen pieces of $3 gold, and fifty Double Eagles. Part 2 of The Palm Beach Collection includes complete, superlative sets of Flying Eagle & Indian Cent Proofs, plus Morgan Dollar rarities. The Prooflike Collection of William Paul is the lifelong collection of a dealer who spent decades pursuing these first strikes from newly polished dies. The Richard Registry Collections of Mint State & Proof Indian Cents are currently ranked on the PCGS Registry as #3 Current Finest and #4 All-Time Finest - for both sets! Mike Sadler’s collection of Lincoln Cents stands on the PCGS Registry as #8 All-Time and #6 Current (Basic Set, Circulation Strikes, 1909-1958). The Timely Collection of Mint State Quarter Eagles is currently ranked on the PCGS Registry as #2 Current Finest and #6 All-Time Finest. The John Troy Collection of Proof Lincoln Cents is the #1 PCGS Registry Collection of Lincoln Cents (Basic Set, Proof 1959-Present), containing an astonishing number of PR70 Red Deep Cameo pieces.

Add in Heritage’s Exclusively Internet and CurrencyAuction.com online auction sales during January, and many more than 20,000 lots will be offered to the numismatic community. Naturally, all of these lots will be presented on our award-winning website, www.HeritageCoin.com, for your bidding consideration.”

Catalogs for this sale will be available from Heritage, c/o Sonia Magdaleno, 100 Highland Park Village, Second Floor, Dallas, TX 75205. All of the lots are displayed in full color on the Heritage website at www.HeritageCoin.com.
