National Coin Week to be Celebrated With a Unique Heritage offering on eBay

Dallas, Texas: National Coin Week, April 16-22, is a time of celebration forAmerica's coin and currency collectors. This year's festivities will be marked by a special numismatic event. Heritage Numismatic Auctions of Dallas, Texas will offer unique coins & currency on eBay, (www.ebay.com), the world's leading online person-to-person trading community. Heritage is the world's largest rare coin dealer and auctioneer, "The numismatic community truly is a global one, and the celebration of National Coin Week has special meaning to this part of the eBay community," noted Andrew Coleman, eBay's director of vertical markets.

"With the new Statehood quarters, people are looking at their pocket change, and youngsters are getting excited about coins again. We're happy to host this events, and look forward to very active bidding for these coins on eBay."

The coins will have featured links on Heritage's homepage, and on eBay's homepage and coin category index page for the entire week of the sale.

According to Heritage Co-Chairman Jim Halperin, "Consignors will be guaranteed exposure to the two most important groups of Internet bidders in the world: the coin collectors found at the Heritage and eBay websites. Both companies are legendary in their respective fields, and both have proven their ability to deliver worldwide bidding demand. We expect significant bidding battles for the premium material in this auction."

"This venue is quite a departure for Heritage," said Bob Korver, director of Heritage Numismatic Auctions, "but it confirms our absolute belief in the growing strength of the Internet's numismatic community. Normally we conduct our many different sales at www.HeritageCoin.com, or on our newest website (devoted to currency collectors) www.CurrencyAuction.com. We've listed coins on eBay before, but we have never committed the resources to posting an entire coin sale exclusively on eBay. Bidders will enjoy an extraordinary selection of coins from which to choose, as well as the full-color images and third-party pricing and rarity research data that have made www.HeritageCoin.com the envy of every other coin site!"

New confirmed registrants on the eBay site will receive a free eBay T-shirt if they enter the events promotional code "NC-WK-2000" when they sign-up at www.eBay.com online; all new registrants -- and every participant -- will also receive a surprise gift from the seller, Heritage Numismatic Auctions. (Both gifts are only available while supplies last.)

"Due to the strengths of the Heritage & eBay customers," concluded Ivy, "we expect this sale to represent a significant consignment opportunity. But with a deadline of April 8th, consignors will need to act quickly. More information can be obtained at Heritage's consignor Hotline: 1-800-872-6467 Ext 222, or by emailing us: bids@heritagecoin.com."

Highlights from Heritage's National Coin Week Auction on eBay will be available on the Heritage Website starting March 27. From the homepage at www.heritagecoin.com, follow the link to Upcoming Auction Highlights.
