Heritage Selected As Official Auctioneer for Sacramento ANA

Dallas, Texas: Heritage Numismatic Auctions has been selected as the Official Auctioneer of the ANA's National Money Show, being held in Sacramento, California on March 12-14. The American Numismatic Association, chartered by Congress, is America's hobby group for coin collectors. The ANA, headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is the world's largest numismatic organization. Heritage, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is the world's largest rare coin dealer.

"The ANA's selection of Heritage," noted Co-Chairman Steve Ivy, "is always an honor, and we are delighted that we will once again be serving the coin collecting community and the ANA. Since our first ANA auction in 1980, Heritage has presented more official ANA sales than all our competitors combined. The Sacramento ANA will be our 27th official sale, and our Chicago ANA 'Anniversary' sale in August will be our 28th! That's more than $100 million in rare coins sold at these wonderful numismatic gatherings! With the coin market so hot, we know that this will be a successful show and a successful sale."

"Heritage," added Co-Chairman Jim Halperin, "has been the Official Auctioneer of every ANA National Money Show since 1991. Heritage was conducting official sales when this show was known as the 'Mid-Winter ANA,' and Heritage was conducting official sales when this show was known as the 'Early Spring ANA.' Heritage is there now for the ANA membership when it is called the National Money Show, and we'll be there in the future whatever the name!"

"Over the decades, Heritage has conducted more than 200 auctions," continued HNAI's Bob Korver. "We have the skills necessary to put on quality sales from coast-to-coast, taking our consignors' coins to where the numismatic action is—at America's major conventions. That's why we are known as America's Convention Auctioneer. The ANA notified HNAI of their Sacramento decision on December 4 -- giving us only five weeks to put together a world-class auction! Only Heritage has the strength of personnel, production capabilities, and numismatic contacts to pull together a successful sale on such short notice. And then move the company 2,000 miles to conduct the sale!"

"The short lead time," concluded Consignment Coordinator Leo Frese, "means that collectors have little time to decide to participate in this exciting auction. The time to act is now - especially if consignors want to take advantage of this hot market and the cachet of an ANA sale! Our consignment deadline is January 11th, which means that decisions and shipping really need to take place during the Holiday season. We apologize for that inconvenience, but we think that the results will make the effort well worth it. To discuss consigning to the ANA, please contact our Consignor Hotline 1-800-872-6467 Ext. 222 and ask to speak with Leo Frese or Bob Merrill."
