Exclusively Internet? sales are held at Heritage's website, www.heritagecoin.com, and only Internet bidders can participate. Exclusively Internet? auctions feature all lots viewable in down-loadable full-color photographs, easy bidding through Heritage's exclusive Interactive Internet? software, and no Buyer's Premiums are added to the hammer price. The Interactive Internet? software constantly encourages bidders to bid higher amounts, as evidenced by the 71 bids received in the last hour of the sale from 33 different bidders.
Miller completed his Mercury dime series with coins in stellar levels of preservation, with the average grade an impressive 66.22, and every coin with Full Split Bands. PCGS has pointed out that the 1940 and 1940-S, both of which grade MS 67 Full Bands, are the finest known survivors of the issues.
Heritage displayed the magnificent coins in Fort Lauderdale at the ANA National Money Show, and in Baltimore at the Coin & Currency Convention so numismatists could enjoy seeing these numismatic treasures. Images of the Miller Dimes can still be found at the Heritage website in the Prices Realized archive.
