Heritage's New York Signature & Bullet Auctions Top $8.1 Million

Dallas, Texas: Heritage Numismatic Auctions has just concluded its Signature Auction held in New York City, July 19-21, with prices realized exceeding $7,346,570, followed by its NY Bullet Auction, which brought the total proceeds up to $8,155,332.

"The highlight coin of the Signature Auction," noted Heritage President Greg Rohan, "was a classic twentieth century rarity - a 1911-D Quarter Eagle, certified as MS66 by PCGS, which realized $184,000 as lot 8103. Another appealing rarity was an early Draped Bust Small Eagle Half Dollar of 1797, O-102; even with environmental damage, the AU-detailed coin from The Willamette Collection realized $71,300 as lot 7851."

Other featured consignors for the Heritage New York Signature Auction included: Part Three of The Bent Tree Collection (ranked #2 on the NGC Registry); The Paulsboro Collection, Part Two; The Del Rio Collection, Part One; The Barry Donnell Collection, Part Two; The Dennis Gundy Collection; The Estate of John Naylor, Part One; and The Professor Wayne Newman Palmer Collection, Part One.
