Heritage Realizes $5.5 Million in Final Sale of 2004
Dallas, Texas: Heritage Numismatic Auctions, Inc (HNAI) ended 2004 on a high note, with $5,506,734.35 realized in their latest auction of rare coins. 2,498 bidders participated, competing for 3,106 lots. 699 of them were successful, with over 82% of lots sold.
"This was our first coin sale held in our new headquarters," said Greg Rohan, President of HNAI, "and I'm thrilled with the results. Normally, we'd hold a Signature sale in conjunction with a major coin convention, so we were a little concerned about what the reaction might be to a stand-alone event like this, but I'm pleased to say that bidding was as strong and passionate as ever."
"This sale featured many rarities that top the want lists of advanced collectors," continued Rohan, "and competition for these exquisite pieces was as fierce as expected. 2004 has been an exceptionally strong year for numismatic sales, and I'm looking forward to 2005 to continue that trend."
