"1783" Washington UNITY STATES Cent Fine 12 PCGS. Baker-1. Struck around 1820 by James Kean of Philadelphia. Worn by years of friction, probably from having been carried as a pocket piece, the olive-brown surfaces show deep, parallel laminations from having been struck from defective planchet stock. 1793 Wreath Cent--Lettered Edge--VF 20. S-11c, Low R.3. This subvariety is distinguished by the lettered edge and single leaf between DOLLAR and ONE. Medium brown patina overall, there are a few obvious abrasions on each side. On the obverse, the most obvious marks are on Liberty's lips and neck. On the reverse, there are a couple of tiny rim nicks, and a pair of planchet flakes are also located near the rim. Struck slightly off-center on the obverse, and lacking all the denticles on the reverse. (PCGS# 1344)

1793 Wreath Cent--Vine and Bars--Fine 12 Porous. S-9, R.2. Bright blue-green patina covers each side of this heavily porous Wreath cent. There are numerous small abrasions scattered over the surfaces with the most obvious ones being a cluster in front of Liberty's face, several on the face, a planchet flaw over the 7 in the date, and a rim cut on the lower reverse. The grade given is only a technical grade, the net grade could not be any higher than Poor 1. 1793 Liberty Cap--Tooled, Burnished--ANACS. VG Details, Net Good 4. S-13, Low R.4. The 1793 Liberty Caps are arguably the most famous and highly sought out design type among early coppers. Breen estimates that only 250 Liberty Cap cents dated 1793 exist in all grades and of all varieties. This is a highly glossy example that displays irregular striking details with the left and right rims on the obverse being weak as is the center of the reverse. The surfaces have a slightly mottled medium to darker brown appearance. A nice starter coin from this very challenging third design from 1793. (PCGS# 1359)
