1893-S $1 AU 55 PCGS. If the proof 1895 is the king of the Morgan dollar series, then the low mintage 1893-S is the prince--equally as desirable and always in demand. The desirability of this issue is such that most collectors have to settle for low grade and/or impaired specimens. For the advanced specialist, however, we are proud to offer the present Choice AU representative. A wonderfully original example, the reverse is evenly toned in orange-olive shades. The obverse displays a thin peripheral ring of the same color around the slate-gray center. While the surfaces display their fair share of abrasions, we stress that the number of distractions are minimal for a circulated silver coin of this size. Sharply defined overall with light wear that is only really evident on the hair over the ear. (PCGS# 7226)
