1870 AU 58 PCGS. One of just 4,520 pieces struck, this piece is very near the top end of the survivors extant. Only ten pieces have been graded mint state to date by both services, with numerous coins in AU 58. Bright yellow-gold color and semi-prooflike in the fields. The striking details are very sharp throughout and there is just the slightest friction that keeps this coin from a technical mint state grade. (PCGS# 7811)
