Flynn Cross Reference: RPD-001, KF-2, FS-302 (004), Breen 2399, EDS.

Flynn Description: This variety is the old Breen 1869/8 two cent overdate. In the late die stages, a die crack went through the base of the 9, giving it the appearance of an 8 and an extreme high value. The early and mid die states of this variety, without the die crack proved it was just a repunched date. This is an EDS specimen. (PCGS# 38280)
