1893 25C Isabella Quarter MS63 PCGS. Well preserved surfaces display a frosty texture with pleasing luster, and sharply impressed design elements. A whisper of light tan-gray color is most noticeable around the borders. The surfaces are remarkably well preserved, and devoid of significant marks. What may be a patch of unobtrusive, shallow planchet flaws in the field to the left of the face of the kneeling motif are mentioned for accuracy. This is a high end, attractive Isabella that is perhaps conservatively graded. (PCGS# 9220)

The reverse is engraved "Mass. Northampton Insane Hospital Exhibit." Of course, we can't help but ponder exactly what it was that the Northampton Insane Hospital had on exhibit.

A few specks of verdigris near the denomination, otherwise a problem-free olive-brown example.

Undated 1C Indian Cent--Struck 25% Off Center--MS64 Red and Brown PCGS. Struck widely off center toward 5:30. The date is fully off the flan, but a headdress feather points to the center of the R in AMERICA, so this cent was struck between 1886 and 1907. Orange luster outlines the design elements. A subdued thin mark on the Indian's neck determines the grade.

1910 1C Lincoln Cent Obverse Uniface Test Strike. AU58 PCGS. Struck on slightly larger than normal planchet with a very deep and bold strike. Traces of mint red in the protected areas and no disfiguring spots are present. This coin was probably made to test the die and striking pressure needed to bring up the device detail fully. An unusual item which is seldom offered and undoubtedly rare.

The borders have softness of strike that is typical for this wrong planchet combination, as the smaller dime stock could not completely fill the cent dies. 1955-S 1C Lincoln Cent--Struck on a Type One Dime Planchet--VF35 NGC. A softly struck and partly lustrous example that possesses only a hint of gold toning. There is less actual wear than the grade implies, although light marks from circulation are apparent. Struck on a dime blank that never made it through the upset mill. The 1955-S cent is a popular issue, since the San Francisco Mint temporarily stopped coinage that year.
