Description

Uncirculated 1838 Classic Quarter Eagle
Final Year of the Type

1838 $2 1/2 MS60 NGC. Breen-6146, Variety 19, R.2. A remarkable example of the scarce 1838 quarter eagle coinage, with sharp design elements and brilliant green-gold luster. The surfaces are pleasing for the grade with only the usual tiny surface marks that have a tendency of accumulating over time. None of the imperfections are of any significance, and the overall appearance is excellent.
