Description
Amazing and Superb Gem 1934 Half Dollar
1934 50C MS68 NGC. As the economy began to improve after the depression, the need for half dollars in circulation necessitated increased and more frequent production. This year marked the beginning of a nearly uninterrupted production of Walkers at every branch of the Government Mint through the end of the series. This crisply defined representative is awash in shimmering mint frost. The otherwise silver-gray surfaces reveal a crescent of rich reddish-russet toning around more than half of the obverse periphery, and there is a faint blush of similar color on the reverse rim outside the word UNITED. Blemish-free, as befits the grade, and possessed of endearing originality. Population: 7 in 68, 0 finer (6/05).From The Robert Moreno Collection.(#6592)(Registry values: N2998)
Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24RF, PCGS# 6592, Greysheet# 6704)
