Description

1871 5C Five Cents, Judd-1053, Pollock-1188, High R.6, PR64 Cameo NGC. The obverse features a Liberty head reminiscent of that on the regular issue Three Cent Nickel, while the reverse has a large laurel wreath. Struck in nickel with a plain edge. The centers are not fully struck, although the borders are boldly defined. A light cameo effect is detected over each side. The reverse field has a few faint slide marks near the 5, and a heavy die crack connects the obverse legend and date.(#61312)
