Description
Impressive Superb Proof 1903 Quarter Dollar
1903 25C PR68 NGC. This is an extraordinary example with bright silver color on both sides, completely lacking any type of toning. It is unquestionably a Cameo proof, even though the Mint attempted not to make such coins during this era. Both sides are fully defined with highly lustrous devices and deeply mirrored fields. An area of die polish follows Liberty's jaw to the ear, and this area lacks the frosty appearance of the remaining devices. Few finer proof examples of this date have been certified, including a single PR69.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 242J, PCGS# 5689, Greysheet# 5495)
Weight: 6.25 grams
