Pleasing AU53 Voce Populi Farthing
1760 FARTH Hibernia-Voce Populi Farthing, Large Letters AU53 PCGS. Breen-234, Nelson-1. A pleasing medium-brown piece with a few mint-made planchet striations on the seated effigy and a hint of darker toning in the recessed areas. The obverse is well centered, the reverse moderately off center toward 2:30. Boldly clashed (as made) on the upper right obverse. Voce Populi farthings are far scarcer than their halfpenny counterparts. Listed on page 47 of the 2009 Guide Book.From The San Jose Collection of Colonial Coinage.
