Pleasing 1808 Half Cent, MS61 Brown

1808 1/2 C MS61 Brown PCGS. B-3, C-3, R.1. Manley Die State 2.0, distinguished by a sharp date and faint die rust (as made) in the obverse field. Attractive for the grade, this lavender-brown Half Cent has tiny mint-made planchet flaws near RI in AMERICA. The dies are rotated 45 degrees counterclockwise. A common variety in VF and lower grades, but Uncirculated examples are very rare. Population: 1 in 61, 3 finer (8/03).
