Description

High Grade Prooflike 1883-CC Dollar

1883-CC $1 MS67 Prooflike PCGS. Formerly offered as lot 7601 in our 2002 FUN Sale, where it was described as, "The 1883-CC is among the more easily obtainable CC-mint Morgans in all grades. Like all issues from the fabled frontier Mint, the '83-CC is scarce in MS 66 and rare any finer. The present example exhibits a smooth overall appearance with an exceptionally clean obverse portrait. The fields glow with visible reflectivity under a moderate layer of gray-gold on the obverse and blue-green on the reverse. Sharply struck, as always, with captivating eye appeal." Population: 7 in 67, 0 finer (3/02).
