Description

1858 Trime, Proof 66

1858 PR 66 NGC. The Type Two three-cent silver is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly sought out type coins in U.S. numismatics. Its short life span of only 5 years for the type and 1858 being the only year generally found in proof, make the proof Type Two a perennial favorite of both collectors and investors alike. This is a lovely piece with deeply reflective fields and an overlay of colorful iridescence over each side. Population: 8 in PR 66, 1 finer (6/96).

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27C5, PCGS# 3705, Greysheet# 3661)

Weight: 0.75 grams
