Sharply Struck MS66 1886-S Dollar
1886-S $1 MS66 PCGS. The 1886-S is a plentiful issue in lower Mint State grades but seldom seen at the Premium Gem level, where PCGS has seen only 28 submissions with four finer (12/11). This is a lustrous powder-gray example with just a touch of purplish toning at the extreme rims on each side. The strike is far finer than usual, quite close to full.(Registry values: P6, N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 254X, PCGS# 7170, Greysheet# 7538)
