Description
PCGS 1865 MS 64. As the mintage of 3,700 indicates, the 1865 is one of the rarest gold dollars struck after 1861, but is not quite as difficult as the 1863. This piece is typical for the date with heavily striated fields and evidence of die clashing on each side. Well struck with much brightness in the fields from the striations.
