Heritage enjoys an evening with the EAC

Dallas, TX: Members of the Early American Coppers society, the premier organization dedicated to the study and collecting of early American Cents and Half Cents, enjoyed a special preview of the Wes Rasmussen Large Cent Collection at their annual convention in San Diego in late April. The magnificent collection formed by Mr. Rasmussen, a former President of the EAC organization, will be offered at unreserved auction by Heritage next January 5-8 in Fort Lauderdale at the Florida United Numismatist Convention. Mr. Rasmussen's incredible collection is essentially complete by die marriage from 1793 to 1839. In addition to the special viewing of Rasmussen highlights, Heritage also hosted a poolside reception for EAC members on Thursday evening that was voted as the "Main Event" of the meeting, and attended by Wes and Judy Rasmussen.

"Because of Wes' long time dedication to numismatics and to the EAC, we wanted to honor his many contributions" said Greg Rohan, President of Heritage. "Wes is someone in our hobby whom we can all look up to. He is a talented and knowledgeable numismatist and administrator, and he has conducted himself with such warmth and honesty that we take pleasure in acknowledging this great collector"

Heritage will also display highlights of the Rasmussen collection at the Pittsburgh convention of the American Numismatic Association next August. Heritage, the Official Auctioneer of the ANA, will have the Rasmussen coins on display in their ANA auction lot viewing room August 18-21.
