Heritage’s Santa Clara Signature Sale Sets Record at 3,500+ LotsDallas, TX.: Heritage Numismatic Auctions will be presenting a 3,500+ lot Signature Sale at the Santa Clara Coin expo, Nov. 21-23. “This sale is more than one-third larger than any previous Signature event held in Santa Clara,” enthused HNAI Director Bob Korver. “Plus, the number of consignors participating - 150 - is simply astonishing. Of our seven anchor consignors, four have collections that are so large and so important that they have been spread over multiple sales. Since Heritage’s first Santa Clara event in 1992, our sales and the show have grown together, in size and importance.”
Anchor consignments for the Nov. 2002 Santa Clara Signature Sale include:
The Ronald H Bozarth, J.D. Collection of Barber Dimes, inspired by a hobby and a collection passed down by his grandfather;
The Philip Kaufman Collection of Proof Seated Liberty Coinage, Part 2, the result of a passion for superlative condition coins with exquisite toning;
The Ohio Collection, Part 7 of a collection that was simply astonishing in its breadth and depth ;
The William C. Owsley, Jr. Collection, formed by a passionate collector whose polymath in talent spilled over into wide-ranging collecting interests;
The Hans Poetsch Collection, Part 3 includes his primary collection of Standing Liberty Quarters, complete in high grade;
The Francis Sullivan Collection, an extension of the consignor’s love of American history and the stories that coins tell;
The Richard Sundberg Collection, an ‘old-time’ collector whose youthful interest in coins was rewarded by the discovery of a 1909-S VDB in circulation; and
The Robert Tarr, Sr. Collection, Part 1, another lifelong collector whose love of Silver Dollars has inspired his collecting for four decades.
