NGC Choice VF 5/5 - 3/5 Head of Hera Lacinia facing slightly right, wearing necklace and stephane ornamented with palmettes flanked by foreparts of two griffins / YPINA (retrograde), man-faced bull advancing right on ground line. HN Italy 540. HGC I 436. Struck on a deep onyx toned flan. An exceptionally attractive example of this very rare type.
