    Description

    1855 Arrows Quarter, MS67
    Finest at PCGS, Ex: Gardner

1855 25C Arrows MS67 PCGS. Briggs 2-B. Arrows and Rays were added to the design of the Seated Liberty quarter in 1853 to signify a weight change, but the Rays were discontinued after the first year, because of striking problems and die breakage. The Arrows were also removed after 1855, creating a popular two-year design type for present-day collectors.

This spectacular Superb Gem is the single-finest survivor certified by PCGS, a must-have coin for Registry Set enthusiasts. The design elements are sharply detailed and the impeccably preserved surfaces radiate vibrant mint luster, under attractive shades of greenish-gold, lavender-gray, and cerulean-blue toning. Eye appeal is terrific. Population: 1 in 67, 0 finer (2/16).
Ex: Eugene Gardner, purchased from Bill Nagle (12/2003); Gardner Collection, Part III (Heritage, 5/2015), lot 98342 (as MS67 NGC), realized $27,025.
