Description
1882-O/S $1 Recessed, VAM-4, MS64 PCGS. A Top 100 Variety. The "O/S Recessed" variety, which shows the curve of the mintmark lower within the O, relative to the scarcer VAM-3. This piece is lustrous and well-preserved with light peripheral rose-gold toning. The strike is sharp.Ex: ANA Signature (Heritage, 8/2010), lot 5262; FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2011), lot 5924.
