1856 3CS MS66 PCGS. Shimmering luster issues from brilliant surfaces beneath a pale overlay of champagne-gold patina. The central devices are boldly rendered, while the strike becomes a touch soft around the peripheries. Parallel roller marks appear in the fields on each side. This Premium Gem Type Two three cent silver is nearly unabraded and of virtually unsurpassed quality. Population: 5 in 66 (2 in 66+), 1 finer (7/16).(Registry values: N4719)
