Description
1892 Quarter, Toned PR68
Tied for Finest, CAC-Approved
First Generation PCGS Holder
1892 25C PR68 PCGS. CAC. Type Two Reverse. Among the finest
certified and one of only five for the grade with CAC endorsement,
this remarkable PR68 1892 Barber quarter represents the epitome of
the ideal Registry coin. The obverse displays rich umber and
red-gold internal hues with sea-green and olive border toning,
while the reverse displays large patches of olive-green with the
upper-right quadrant brilliant. Deeply mirrored fields are evident
through the patina. The strike is razor-sharp, and there are no
discernible marks. The 1892 is rarely seen this fine, with or
without Cameo contrast. CAC-endorsed in an old "rattler" holder.
